I am wanting to fit a turbo timer as I am too much of a lazy git to wait for the car to cool and don't want to knacker it. I have a cat one alarm and wondered if anyone has fitted a turbo timer, preferably hks and what happens when you try to alarm/lock the car with the engine still running.thanks for any help

I've fitted a Blitz timer to my legacy and it's fantastic but I'm afraid seeing as I don't need one I don't have an alarm on the car so I can't help in that respect. Good luck though, they're worth having and look the bomb!

you can set your alarm to auto arm so it activates after the turbo timer has finished but sadly if you set your alarm when the timer is running it will go off.
problem is when you have your auto arm on and you shut your door with your keys in !!!

Thanks Jonny, guess you've locked the keys in then

Presses the enter key before I was finished, don't know if the alarm has auto arm. Might need a new one

Got a Blitz timer and cobra alarm on mine. It won't let me arm whilst the timer is on. In other words if I press the arm button, nothing will happen until the engine stops, then I have to press again to arm/lock doors etc...
The timer does not always work though. I have it set to auto and it normally times out for 10secs minimum - I've had it timing for over a minute after serious driving. Recently on more than one occasion its failed to time at all which is a little worrying so I have to re-start the engine and leave manually. Defeats the object really...
Anyway I'm rambling on!
