Just like to say cheers for everyone turning up and helping make the bolney meet such a great day yesterday.
Was very incident free with the only blights being one or two fools who were wheel spinning in the grass in front of other cars or up the road (the black tarted scooby up early scoob sad to say).

Still in such a large group your bound to get the odd idiot.

highlights of the day for me were -
meeting so many people.
watching the mr2's arrive, watch one get stuck in the shade on very damp grass, then instead of changing where to park (or how)all copying the first lol.
watching the owner of the ferrarri chuck his keys to someone and missing, bouncing them across his bonnet - doh.
that black skyline.
the silver wings west honda - that was stunning.
the yellow fast n furious style honda with carbon bonnet - want one.

was a great meet and wouldnt have been possible if you all didnt make the effort to turn up, so cheers scooby folks.

p.s. if anyone has any pics or posts them could they please let me know the urls so i can share them with the other car groups that turned up, and i'll do likewise from there sites.

Pete,

Was a good day out, most enjoyable :)

The black wrx would it be the tyre cleaning one? ;) lol

Those mr2's were funny, we were cracking up when the 1st one got stuck on the grass then they all followed suit :)

You forgot to mention the gearbox crunching 3000 GTO :D

You all should have come for the drive down to Brighton.
There was a guy burning up and down Madiera(sp) Drive in a Nissan Silvia throwing 2ft flames on every gearchange:eek::D:D:D

Cheers for the organising Pete, sorry I didn't get to chat. See you at the Sussex meet (7th April)

Iain.
PS. I'm gonna make you park miles away from the pub at the meet;)

from the organiser of Bolney -

Hi Pete,

Just have to say, thankyou so much for your help getting this sorted, and making it run so smoothly.

Getting so many scoob's together was a hell of an achievement - you boys certainly go for it when you decide to get together. Sorry to hear about the black car spinning up it's wheels and flicking stones up at other peoples cars - not what you need.

Can you pass on my thanks to the scooby list for putting out so many great cars....these meets don't happen unless people are prepared to turn up....

From Darren's post on the yahoo message boards, he thinks 522+ cars turned up!

That's massive!

:D

Before anyone says anything, I *did* turn up to Bolney, only problem was I got there at 3pm, so not many people about, plus it peed down as well :( I do have pics to prove I turned up as well, so ner :p ;) :D

Did look as though fun was had, looking forward to seeing the pics.

Am a bit gutted because I was really up for this, however, the reason I did not turn up on time is a worthy one.

So, a big thanks to pete for sorting out the scooby side of this.

When's the next one (next year?)

PHolt - thanks for organising the day, good fun..

For next time, do we know anyone that owns a burger van or two - perhaps we could all get fed then ;)

Nice to see you all, cheers, Alex

The next one will be at a slightly larger venue methinks :)

we surpased all our expectations by about 75% so need to fins somewhere else, the grasshopper pub has been mentioned (whereever that is??)

Nick, would love to see the pics mate, not to sure how your gonna transfer them being 50mb tho lol.
any ideas ?

I think the Bolney stage was a little to small for the first meet:)

The Grasshopper is on the A25 towards Oxted (if that's the one that was mentioned)
What we need is a big private car park or airfield(NOT so we can blatt about) How about somewhere like Bentley or Lenoardslee Gardens:)

I think the burger van is a good idea but not sure a landlord would approve.

Definately up for another one in the Summer!!

It was a great meet, so many cars and so many people.

The pub did seemed a little overwhelmed by the number of people, a queue to get drinks going out the front door and one person serving! ;)

One of the funniest things I saw/heard was when the guy turned off his rather distorting stereo and people clapped and cheered! :D

Of course the wheel spinning has been mentioned before... :(

A good meet though and everyone was just there for a chat rather than proving how much their engines could do, well, at least in Bolney anyway! ;)

Hi Pete

Cheers for organising etc

Great day, but I had to shoot off before that prat trying to get on the verge covered my car in mud & grit as I don't think he would have liked my responseimages/smilies/mad.gif
Glad to see my old tyres came in handy keeping the parking space when you went on the burger run:rolleyes:

Found those gauges yet?......Just kidding:D

See ya soon

It was an excellent day, thanks to all those that arranged it, just arranging a little Herts meet is a pain sometimes. Who was the guy that owned the little Toyota that led down from South Mimms, and what had he done to his engine? It was leaving the Turbo Wagon I was in for dead :)
