Yes

I'm affraid because of lack of Interest we are going to have to cancel this :(

We needed 20 people

So I suppose its back to discussing matters at the Halfway House

Sorry to all the People that did show an interest

And thanks to Rob who did offer to allow credit card payments to be made through his business

Back to meeting the usual suspects at Pizza Hut on the 11th

See you there

Phil :(

BTW i'm now packing for Spain ;)

This is the *********** Official Thread ****************

After tonights meet it looks there is enough interest

Walthamstow Dogs

£13.50 Admission Includes :-
Racecard,
Chicken/Scampi & Chips in a Basket,
2 Drinks,
£1 bet
(MUST BE PREBOOKED AND PREPAID)

Racing starts at 7.30

So I would propose to Meet at the Halfway House and then cruise up there

I have enquired about Car Security and have been assured that we could have a dedicated area under CCTV etc etc

I will approach several Company's re sponsorship of a Race to add a edge to the evening

I will need to assess numbers over the next ten days so please post away so that I can get this rolling

Yep,

that is, I can stand to watch a few dogs chase their tails for a while.

How do you want to collect the money Phil ?.

as I own a shop, if you want me to collect the money via phone i.e credit cards and cheques etc, I don't mind I'll even suffer the 2% handling charge!!. lol, and forward the money to you that way!, or write a cheque myself to walthamstow, anyway, we'll discuss it i suppose!

so, I suggest as Phil ha asked, if we can get a list of people. anyway, thats enough contribution from me.....;)

shame last night kinda petered out, just goes to show, we do need to have things organised, and not bring our phones with us !!! (sorry!)

Never mind I'll do it here (oh eh)

I'm at work until at least 6 that evening, and I won't know what time I'm going to be finishing that night until I do (Does this make sense so far) The thing is I could get the money over to you some how, but I don't really want to waste it if I can't turn up. Do you know if they send out some sort of flyer that entitles you to get in for £13.50 and then I can pay on the door?? Sorry to be a pain.

Rob, dogs chasing their tails? Does that mean you're going to Charlie Chans afterwards?????

Ed

Ed

The £13.50 MUST be pre paid

However you can still pay to get in on the night but the package then works out over £20 (according to Walthamstow)

Come on guys

so.........Phil,

looks like you and me again.....lol, they might have a problem patrolling our 2 cars....hmmmmmm, does that make a race sponsorship £97.50 each???? plus the £13.50???

come on guys, you know this kinda meet needs some early responses, and commitment, even if you 'DONT Think' you can make it, let the guy know! (ed, cheers for at least letting Phil know! be a shame if we don't see you again....boo hoo)

It's the day after my birthday, and I'm still going, the wife might even come along......now there's a threat!!

actually Phil. if you don't get too much response, let me know, I could probably get a couple of car loads of passengers so our journey is not too lonely!!!

cheers

Hi guys,

Good to meet up with you the other night and put faces to the names, sorry had to shoot off about 9ish, my mate had another engagement and I was giving him a lift.

The dogs sounds good fun, I am trying to persuade the wife to go as well so if there are going to be other females (such as your wife Rob) then all the better.

Phil, I will let you know for sure by mid week.

Wicked set of cars you guys have, it will be nice seeing them all in the daylight (without the bloody rain!)

Who is going on the Southend cruse on 6th April?? I am going with a couple of mates, its sounds like a laugh, and if the TVR club will be there too...nice! Someone even mentioned Max Power mag and the max power ladies...hmmmmm....

Rob,

Thanks for the comment. However, if I do end up going I'll be in the Fiesta.....hmmmm.....Does that mean I'll be on a table by myself and be called a Splitter..alah Life of Brian??

on the strength of the

' you bring your bird, I'll bring mine', as long as babysittrs can be arranged (80% ok at the mo!), the missus is coming .......

will probably have another couple with us, wil post info.

I know a couple of regulars incl. Scott and Pete are trekkings down to Catalunya this week (sounds like next years March meet to me!!), so there will be a few at least wo will not be able to respond. Phil, what is our deadline for booking?

a for me, will be making a great effort for Southend 6th April..., boy am i gonna be paying recompence for that though....

Unfortunately we won't be able to make the 11th, we are going yet again on anothern holiday....

It's a shame we have never been to dogs racing and would love to. Maybe if it is a success we could repeat it actualy with us present :)

Ladies & Gents,I'll be at the dogs--it's only a couple of miles away from me-so I'm bound to be late!Who do I pay & how?

Ed-re your comments on Chans, did you ever frequent that splendid establishment?I'm not saying my brother lived in the place but--- He had a year off work(I can't spell
sabbatical :-) bummming around Thailand & Aus --on his return he waltzed into Chans & it took them another 2 years or so
to twig he was no longer a member.Anyway I'm not talking to Fiesta splitters--Peoples front of Judea (alias John)
