we are now on the home straight helping a very well known lighting company to develop tart-tastic clear and lexus style lights for the rear of the "classic" Impreza

They are just checking final fit and finish (which for some reason means the wilful destrction of 10 brand new OE lights from stock .. and naturally i will be poncing around with a set on as soon as they are ready ... keep you posted, but if you are thinking of doing something funky light wise.. just hang on a mo!

Oh dear, I can see me becoming a tart Sounds excellent, I thought about lexus style lights for my MY99 but they weren't available - might have to rethink now

What are the clear ones going to be like? Will they need those horrid red bulbs that can be seen through the lens, like the ones on VW Golfs?

Maybe they can produce some STI ones a bit cheaper... or maybe I'll get some clear ones and tint the bottom RED

 

Believe it or not fellow tarts, the bulbs will be LED clusters so they cannot be seen at all through the lamp and obviously LED's spark up marginally quicker than a bulb too!.. good for brake lights

 

Apologies for the shocking quality pic guys....but i think you get the idea.... these will of course fit ANY nrmal bulb holder.. either opposed or offset pins. and come as either clear, red or amber flashers.....

Smart! I was going to knock some of these up myself, but it looks like I won't have to bother.

BTW, I followed a Maser 3200 GT the other day which has LED tail lights. They are extremely annoying as they exhibit an odd flicker when you move your eyes. Still, I don't usually follow my own car

This is a cheap and cheerful option , I was considering giving this a go with with just half the lamp to try and get the STI look.
