Hi,

I'm being told different things about the M30 from different dealers, does anyone know the number to get hold of Sigma directly so I can get my questions answered straight from them??

(basically it's whether the external outputs will power a flasher unit running 3 LED's and whether the MkII Golf pneumatic central locking requires the add on/replacement unit?)

Cheers,
Matt

Matt,

The mark 2 golf has "single point" locking, which will require a motor in the drivers door and if using an M30 alarm you will also need a Sigma CDL interface or two 5 pin changeover relays or CDL timer relay. I would of thought that a car like that would of already had an alarm linked in to the CDL already, so there maybe a Motor in the drivers door already. A little probing about is required I'm afraid. As for the LED's, they can be wire so they receive a pos pulse of the CDL lock pulse.

Regards, Nick.

Adrian, the Green/black is a programmable accessory output wire that supplies a max current of 200mA. Depends on the LED's, but I would play safe, rather than risk blowing the backside out the ECU.
I think you need the CP1 Psion programmer to adjust the setting to anything different, but as standard should put a neg out when armed.

no the green black is not programmalbe try green red for programalbe as for cp1 this is not made by psion that will only programe old sg series alarms and my money says you don't have a psion

Adrian,

The Green/black is programmable, I've checked today using a CP1 on an M30. It is shown as "Boot Release" . With boot release set to off Green/black gives a neg out whem armed and with it off will give a neg out when remote kept depressed on arming.
