To all rally enthusiasts,

After winning the ANWCC Road Rally Championship last year in a Subaru Impreza RA, I have been building an STi Type RA for this year but was unfortunate enough to miss the first round the Rali Bro Ddyfi.

I have been seeded car 2 this Saturday night and looking at the entry list there are 5 Impreza's competing - it should be a good 150 mile thrash. Not sure what the weather is like in Wales as I am from Lancashire but I am thinking of running on Toyo Proxes but am open to advice on this ?

Stu - wheres the event start from? How many whites are they gonna use...most of the North welsh stuff around Machynellyth and Dolgellau would see me running forestry tyres cos the whites are a bit rough and they often use forestry - the time u lose on the tarmac is more than made up for by the time you DONT lose on the rough...I'll see if I can see what maps they're running on...

Are you involved in Town End Garage Motorsport or supported/sponsored by them? I am thinking about making comeback to competitive driving ( !!!) either road rallies or sprints etc perhaps even stages and would obviously like to be Subaru connected ie early impreza or legacy etc

Any comments to help?

Thanks for the advice but this is the first time I've looked at the Scoobynet since I put it on. Yes I did clear the tarmac stages but lost time on the rough - so it was sound advice you gave me. We eventually finished 5th overall but there was only a handfull of seconds seperating us, but it was the whites that were timed to the second. I will know for next time to read on here before I finalise my tyre choice.

But anyway onwards to the 9th and 10th of March to the Memorial Road Rally.
