Yep just been ~ shame about the demise of Car 33 (Blue Impreza).

Damaged wishbone on SS 2/3. Finally got going again. Completed SS at the Leyland Test Track. Only to break a driveshaft on SS 6.

All post some pictures soon.

Cheers

Hi Blackscooby,
It was good to meet ya mate,as I left Burscough you where just turning in,I give you a wave but you just blanked me;) in that posh motor of yours:D,pity about your mate but remember things happen for reasons:)
It was absolutely awesome seeing all those 6R4's,at one point there was 4 on the circuit together !!!!!WOW :D:D:D:D:D:D

On the first run(SS2&3)the circuit resembled a Scooby graveyard with 3 retiring all within sight of one another..........Doh:(

555 Boy,

Sorry mate. Saw you out of the corner of my eye. Trying to keep that dammed car in a straight line on mud . Whilst trying to find out where Alex had got to as I was meant to meet up with his service crew with some bits.

Had a top day. Flew up to Leyland with some parts, & came back to Burscough. Ended up watching the last few minutes of the SS7&8 whilst I heard about the demise of the AJ Motorsport Car 33.

Not often I get the passes from "indoors" to go and see these events. Love it :D :D

Not long until my Championship starts off again (Mid Cheshire Sprint Champ).

My posh motor ??? Its still not as good as my old motor I sold just before Christmas.

Now I Sprint this thing which is currently being rebuilt for this season....(Turning rapidly into a nightmare :( )

This was a shame :(
Broken wishbone on SS2&3. Repaired to make service, then a broken driveshaft caused retirement.

Apperently up to 6th overall before problems.

BUT

These were fantastic. Never heard one in the flesh before on full chat. :D :D :D

Lee P,

Yeah I sprinted and used the Impreza on the road for a while.

Was it competitive ? Yes sort of !
I never did REALLY well in it as in the Class I was in (Modified Production Cars over 2 litre) you got all sorts of stuff.

Mistu Evo's , Ford Saph. Cosworth running 35PSI boost. Really silly stuff with massive mods.

Mine was running Bilstein Coilover suspension. Around 20PSI boost. TD05H turbo. Cosworth Pistons. Mongoose De-cat SS exhaust.

The problem was that I broke it quite seriously in 2000. Holed a piston running 25PSI boost (my own fault) so had it fitted with Cosworth pistons, Group A gaskets. Dropped the boost, and eventually fitted APEXI Boost and fuel controllers.

It was frightenly expensive to run. Knackered a piston May 2000. Broke the gearbox June 2000 and shattered a turbo July 2000. Until I messed with it I had no problems.

Following the fittment of the APEXI stuff when it ran 19PSI it ran perfectly. My problem was messing with the boost if I found that I wasn't doing to well.

Its favourite was clutches. AP 4 paddle clutches....

The Pug is much better. Cheaper that it is. Its gone for a serious rebuild looking for 180BHP at the wheels

Cheers
