I've just installed a version of Office 2000 onto my friends PC who only had Microsoft Works before. The install went OK but when you run teh programs - Excel, Frontpage, etc the programs close by themselves after a few seconds. Any idea's? He is running ME on a P4 Dell PC.

It's a known issue regarding the CD key used.

I've seen it happen on PCs that haven't been anywhere near SR1 for Office 2000, so ignore that bit.
