Microsoft have just released a host of new shots of Rallisport Challenge, the first-party Xbox rallyer. As is usually the case with advance shots of driving games, they're not actual 'in-game' screenshots but, instead, replay-style images that don't necessarily reflect how the finished product will really look.

Still, screenshot analysis aside, Rallisport has plenty to offer. Four different styles of racing are packed in there - Hill Climb, WRC-style rallies, RallyCross and Ice Racing - which combine both traditional rallying against the clock and head-to-head racing.

Along with 25 licensed vehicles and four-driver multiplayer there is (we quote) a 'robust' career mode. Heck. Anyway, if any of this tickles your tootsies, you'll be pleased to learn that it's expected to be a launch title, out on 14 March.

MMmm I dont know... I think it looks more 'Computer generated' than WRC on PS2... I was expecting better myself..

as long as its not as blocky/jerky and plays better than the very average wrc i'll be happy

 

There's a video kicking around too, that shows off the ice effect (3rd pic down) really nicely.

The shadows still don't look right though.
