Andy W 12 February 2002, 00:09 Endsleigh has been my best quote 2 years running, I would love to get the quotes you folk are getting, but I am only a cub. ;)
carrollp 12 February 2002, 22:37 I guess yours was less because of your postcode (N Down is one of the most expensive areas in NI):-(
You can get a quote on their website (as I am sure you know)
It will be interesting to see if the official renewal is the same.
They claim that they give extra discount to clients who renew.
even 5% would be something
Andy W 12 February 2002, 23:18 BT8 where I am is the second most expensive area to insure in NI beaten only by BT9, :(

Andy - I'm in BT8 as well. Had to pay 500 quid for a 106 last month. Moved from BT9 4 years ago, and previously lived in BT17, which is the other most expensive one, mainly cos it contains twinbrook and poleglass :(. Maybe I should get a house in the country
carrollp 02 March 2002, 13:08 my official renewal with Quinn was £1250 but I rang around and got it with Hughes for £1090 Thats with protected bonus btw
The highest quote was about £2000
I was with Hughes 2 years ago and their renewal was £1300 then.
Go Figure !
Good Luck everyone - it pays to shop around

TURBO7379 04 March 2002, 07:16 Areas are rated by a number and this gives them your quote , 1 being the most expensive , getting less with each higher number . A bloke just started at work having moved from Nairn in Scotland . There he was rated as a no 29 . Here in BT9 he is a no. 2 and his insurance has quadrupled .
I worked in Lincolnshire and was insuring my 1.3 205 GR for £280 FC . I left the job and I informed my insurance company , Swindon ,I was moving back home . They cancelled the policy and the cheapest insurance I could get here was £1000 for TPF&T only !
