newage sti rear glass, are the tints just film? or is glass tinted when its made
as above if its just film i'll get my uk wrx done if the glass is chemically tinted when its made i will need the real stuff
I'm pretty sure my MY95wrx is filmed on the rear passengers windows as there is a very small scratch on one of them where it's clearer.
I originally thought it was a 'smoked' glass but appears not

My newage JDM bug is definitely dyed glass. I know this because I took my mate to pick up his Prelude after film tinting and got the guy to look at mine. Also interestingly it's a 77% tint rear and a 23% tint front as OEM (30% being the legal limit on the front - which lead me too ask how much darker the 7% would go and he answered "roughly the transparency of sellotape" - hmm).
He also commented that a dyed 77% is roughly equivalent to a film 85% in darkness, BUT the dyed glass looks much darker when you're inside and makes night driving a little more interesting, which I'd confirm the first time I drove the Scoob but well used to it now.

It is a very light tint which makes it look no different to any other Subaru I've seen. Bizarre really.
I'm no Subaru expert yet so I'll say they are aftermarket tints
Good job though so done by a professional I'd have thought.
