Default MY99 UK Turbo Front brake issue

i have recently changed the pads on my front brakes (4 pot versions) and anyone who knows these brakes will know that there is two pins on each caliper which pull out to release the pads.

Upon cleaning my car last weekend i have noticed these pins sitting further outwards than they should be. It has been quite a while since i have done my brakes, and anything that was there i had put back so i havn't done anything inccorrectly, but why are the pins slightly out from the original position?

Same here - I changed my pads several weeks ago and since then whenever I check the pins they are slightly out by about 1mm. Push them in but they move out again. I wondered whether it was because I cleaned the pins before refitting.

What pads do you have? as mine aren't standard.

All i can think is that the pads i have put in have the hole where the pin sits, slightly bigger than standard?

I think come payday ill put the same pads as i had before back in.

I went from EBC redstuff to Mintex 1144's. I keep monitoring the pins but I'm not too concerned as there doesn't seem to be any change.
