Hi All,

I have a bit of an insurance battle on at the moment, and my insureres are basically saying Im not covered. My next step is to use the ombudsmen

My case is almost identical to the 2nd one down here:

http://www.theiob.org.uk/bulletins/bulletin21/section10.html

(use on track) and I feel Ive got a pretty good case.

So has anyone ever gone through this? Any idea how long it might take etc etc?

Cheers

I've never used the IOB, but would have thought that if you inform your insurers as to your knowledge of the case mentioned they may well back track.

If they dont then you at least can have a bit of confidence that the IOB have set a precedence with the other case.

yes - ive used them, or to be precise, used the case you've highlighted above and cc'd letters to my insurers to the iom.

drop me a mail at jon.hill@umusic.com if you want to hear about my experience.

My wife just managed to get a claim settled after a year of battling with the insurance company, nothing was happening until she contacted the IOB and got them to help, last week got all the excess paid back and her no claims put back to the appropriate level.

So I would recommend them, (it affected my insurance as well as hers, and mine is high enough thank you...)

Good Luck
