Hi folks. I have held off doing this right up until I finally had no choice but with a heavy heart I am selling Fluffy, my Subaru Impreza WRX STI 5. 63000 genuine, documented miles. This car has no fixed CO2 classification and is exempt from the new road tax emmision bands coming in!

Imported new by David Hendry Cars in 2001. Very well loved and thousands upon thousand spent in servicing and upgrades.

Full service and upgrade history from David Hendry and the oustanding Subaru4you. All receipts kept. Private plate that suits the car so well I couldn't bring myself to remove it despite the financial/sentimental value!

Very very quick details are:

Engine enlarged to 2.2 Litres with Omega Forged Pistons
Andy Forrest AFP5-20G Turbocharger
Remapped by both Pat Herborn and Bob Rawle (Optimized for both Tesco99 and V-Power)
Wilwood 6/4pot mammoth full brake system fitted

I could list the full spec here but along with the fairly up to date 'View My Scooby' details, I have already written a huge piece on the car with full specs/everything else you could possibly want to know, along with a load of hi-res pics right here:

2001 Y Subaru Impreza STI5 aka 'Fluffy' (http://www.ftaclan.net/fluffy)

Reasons for sale are also included in the writeup. Have to say it but this car really is a genuine head turner. HPI clear, no finance owed or anything like that. I am in Farnham, Surrey. £7999 INCLUDING THE PRIVATE PLATE. - SOLD!

Cheers,

Nick :(

Bump. Having a fair bit of part ex interest and if the right car comes up with a nice bit of cash I would be tempted. I am looking at really giving up on life/fun driving and getting an older luxo barge (estate seems like the best way to really 'give up' ;)). Automatic, leather and something with some guts at least would be nice. Not interested in cossies etc, been offered things along that line already.

what would scooby do

Thanks. I actually looked at buying a B4 RSK before I bought Fluffy. Sadly, I am 6'7" and 300 lbs. The driver area was actually tighter than the Impreza for me and it didn't seem like the seat went back far enough either.

If I could fit in one I would be very, very tempted but it just isn't to be :(.

Thanks guys. So far I have been offered 2 Cossies, an Audi A6 estate which was mildly tempting, a Triumph Daytona 1000, a random Alfa saloon and a Integra typr R with a turbo and nitrous (How loud can you say BANG??).

I could also be interested in a little £2k 'putput' car for the other half +cash of course in case anyone is wondering.

Cheers,

Nick :).

Hi there. Basically if I don't sell her within the next 3 weeks I will fail to have enough money to pay the rent :(. If it gets to that I will end up selling my pc or something to get by. If it comes to that the other half will have sorted her finances out by then and will no longer need money from me, meaning that I can keep the car.... I am really in 2 minds. If she sells within the next few weeks so be it. If she doesn't I will actually be very happy, despite the added hassle if that makes sense?

Thanks guys :). I only just dropped the price from 9k to the 8.5/8k option. I still have px offers coming in to but still nothing I want.

After getting to drive her today for the first time in nearly 2 weeks, it merely reminded me just how amazing she is and I will be happy if she doesn't sell at the price I am asking at the end of the day :). I think we all know the market isn't brilliant at the moment but I don't have to give the car away either when so much work has gone in to her.

Thanks for the interest,

Nick.

Subarustel, I tried to send you a PM, but due to my Plus renewal payment being cocked up on here (Well, mine and a load of other people)... and your PM box being full I couldn't. Let me know on here if you still want a PM as I have the contents of it sitting here on notepad.

Cheers,

Nick.

If somebody happens to read this that tried calling me at 2:35 today and got my other half, sorry, I was too busy watching Massa's engine blow up with 3 laps to go and wanted to watch the end. Apparantly you said your name was Neil and I had your number?

News to me and your number was witheld so I can't call you back as you requested! Checked through my email and can't find anyone called Neil that I have talked to.

Cheers,

Nick.

Lovely car. But how come it never got registered till 2001 when version 5`s were produced between sept 98 and sept 99.

Erm, phone a friend? The V5 states that and the info from David Hendry Cars confirrmed it.

SOLD! :(. The first person to come and see her bought her straight away, grinning from ear to ear and didn't quibble the price at all. Good to see her go to an ex-scooby owner.

Still gutted :(.

Well played fella. You'll of course be back one day as we all return to the fold eventually ...
