....chaps - took the motor out on a rally on Saturday...through an aweful lot of standing water...on the way back it started over boosting - can water cause this by getting in the waste gate solenoid like oil does??

don't know the full technical details to your question but... The only time I have ever had overboost on my my99 ppp is when it was really wet, i went through a puddle and smack....
