I can't fully answer your question, but can help to some extent. You are correct, the Scoobysport downpipe removes the 2nd cat, and the Scoobysport mid pipe is in two parts (as you say) that replaces the 3rd cat (1st part) and the resonator (2nd part).

On your picture, the parts are;

Backbox

Mid pipe - 1st part (cat replacement) and Down pipe

Mid pipe - 2nd part (resonator replacement)

What I don't know is how much your Supersprint downpipe replaces (both the 2nd and 3rd cats?).

I'm in touch with Pete Croney for exhaust parts for my MY01.
He's very kind to answer all my mails, but I don't want to be after him every 5 mins. :-)

Can any1 confirm that the Downpipe is on 1 part replacing the second cat of the WRX and the mid section, in 2 parts replace the 3rd cat and the mi+resonator ?

If I only buy his DP, I will have to go with the OEM 3rd cat ?

Am I right, or False ?

All my questions because on the SS price List, the mid is in 2 parts and I actually have a Supersprint DP wich replace the 2 cats.

My present system is a Supersprint DP + center + backbox vwith oval output and it's for the old shape Impreza, but it works rather good on my car, except for the CE light on till I got it.

It costed me less than 350£ inc VAT. for the DP + mid.

I wonder if someone replace only the downpipe and in case YES, what the benefit is.
