Following the report recently about the Government and ACPO wanting to fit speed limiters to cars, I thought a quick e-mail to my MP was in order - even if my feeling was that it wouldn't happen for a few more years due to the technology needed.

Anyway, got a reasonably positive reply, which was nice....

Thank you for your e mail. I entirely agree, and am soon to publish a proposed transport policy which recognises the importance of the car and the need to treat motorists better. There are as yet no government plans for speed limiters, so no immediate cause for concern - but we do need to speak
up for the motorist and be vigilant.
