Thumbs up Swansea BAay Rally

Anybody going to the Swansea Bay Rally on Jul 18th 2008 and if so, do you know any good spectator point apart from Walters Arena?

Any news on the stages being used yet Ian? Same as usual or anything new worth looking at?

Usually hang around the outskirts of Walters for the first run through (Sweeping downhill left just after the arena) then up towards the windfarm in the afternoon, but fancy change this year...

Any hints or tips??

Good to see Elfyn Evans back out after the incident with a speccie a few weeks back! Cant be easy after something like that!! Fair play to the lad!

Not a bad day out in the trees again.... shame about the bloody delays!! I heard something about some protestors moaning about a new wind farm that might have caused some of it!

Looks like you were having some fun as usual Ian, got a nice "you've been framed" video moment of you on J9 of ss1 this morning. Just a 'little' wide on the exit! I'll get it over to you later!

Good day out, time to get the dust out of my hair now!

Ah is that where I fell off the road , woke me up I can tell you I listened to the notes a bit harder after that very lucky to have a flat'ish piece of land there to turn it round and throw ourselves back onto the road !

I got it wrong big time on the next stage in Rhondda , but wern't so lucky , I snapped the front bottom arm and dropped about 6 minutes after dropping into a ditch , managed to get out of the stage and it fixed on the side of the road as I had the parts in my chase car , just made it up to the next stage Resolven only to find it cancelled after another car went the wrong way up a live stage , they should have just excluded him and carried on , but they cancelled it and we lost 16 miles of our total which really p1ssed us off

Had a fairly clean run through Margam , its my first tme through there as I broke my 206 a few miles in last year , that jump feels like your in the air forever , we should change our names to Bo & Luke Duke its a good run upto it and your thinking shall I or shaln't I , I chickened out just before and backed off slightly before giving it beans over it so dropped back 10 mph or so , next time it will be flat out now I now what to expect and know how my car fly's

If you got a video of J9 , put up so we can all have a laugh

Cheers Ian
