ITV are carrying on their coverage as normal. Sky are promising 'uninterrupted coverage' which I hope means no adverts, and will also offer various cameras to watch, stats etc. Price is likely to be per weekend I guess, but I don't know... Richard Dizzy 07 February 2002, 15:44 bagsy picking incar for the whole race and getting a steering wheel on the coffee table :D Ian Cook 14 February 2002, 16:48 Channel 434 on Sky Digi No idea how much ! F1 doesnt really do it for me ! ;) [Edited by Ian Cook - 2/14/2002 3:50:21 PM] Bitten Hero 14 February 2002, 17:05 Really? :) Oh well, just keep fingers crossed for the nice yellow cars, even when you're not watching it ;) Richard Chip 14 February 2002, 17:22 Looks like the commentry will be by Muddly Talker as well. Should at least make it a bit more entertaining than James Allen. Chip. bioforger 14 February 2002, 17:46 F1 PPV on Sky (money grabbin feckers) will be about £12-14 for the race weekend, which isnt nice images/smilies/mad.gif Bitten Hero 14 February 2002, 19:13 Nah, Murray's denied he's going to Sky. He's done his retiring bit now and would look silly if he did a Damon Hill and retire/unretire/retire/unretire/etc... Agree with the money-grabbing bit about Sky images/smilies/mad.gif Richard Chip 14 February 2002, 21:22 Remember what Bernie said about Murrays retirement at the end of last year. He also did not deny he was going to do it on Tues night at grandprix party. Chip. Scoobychick 15 February 2002, 13:16 Having watched the F1 digital coverage whilst in Germany I would be more than happy to pay for it as it was excellent. Even though the commentary was in German and I understood nish I still knew exactly what was going on. We get our Sky through Ntl cable, I suspect that it means we won't be able to get it, does anyone know? If not I'll have to spend F1 weekends at my parents ;) :D Sal bioforger 15 February 2002, 13:26 Full interactive F1 is now available on sky EPG 434. Full weekend coverage no ads, with stats and cams in each car and the pits, plus a 'super channel' for watching certain areas of the ciruits or races down the field, for £12/we (includes all sessions). (Change of opinion) Not bad considering u need to pay £100-200 to see a GP these days :) Ok u dun get the noise n smells IRL but at least u can choose to pay £12 or watch ITV for free :) Bitten Hero 15 February 2002, 14:44 And you can just turn up the hifi (particularly if it's in surround sound :) ) and bring in a can of engine oil for that authentic atmosphere ;) :D Richard |
