Default Where to get insulating material?

I need material which can stay hot on one side and cool on the other.

I've put my PC and AV gear on shelving but there are central heating pipes there which radiate heat. I'm boxing the cables in but need some type of material to stop the cables and equipment being affected by the heat.

I guess this should be in DIY but its dead in there.

Won't the normal foam pipe lagging work?

Can you box the cables, then fill the box with loose-lay insulation?

I'll be boxing the cables but want something to put round the pipes to stop them radiating heat towards the AV gear (PC, receiver, Sky box, DVD player)

I'll check but I thought the pipe lagging still allows the heat to escape.
