Got my first DSLR, 350D, in April and havent used it as much as Id like. My mate invited me to join him at Silverstone yesterday and was a good day out. Damn those cars are loud and Im now a bit sunburnt :)

Learnt two lessons in taking pics of motorsport - one I need a bigger lens. My 70-200 is a bare minimum - you need 300-400 to get decent shots. Two - whilst easier to pan a fast shutter speed just makes cars look stationary and you lose the feeling of speed.

Anyway onto the pics. I havent made any changes so these are as they came off the camera. Some are from when I used mates 30D also:

Cheers. Yes I liked the last one of the Red Bull. Wasnt expecting much on my first outing but good thing about DSLR is you can click away, change settings and see what does what then just delete all the crap when you get home (thats the most tedious part ).

I already spent more on the 70-200 F4 L than I did for my 2nd hand 350D kit (grip, spare battery, bag etc). And now looking at something longer but not for a while :)
