Below is a link to an incredibly good post/article written by a member of a photography forum I'm on. I strongly suggest anybody who is interested in taking Motorsport photos reads it. Also read the replies as they have some good additional information.

Thats a good amateur/semi pro write up with some good pointers for novices like myself.

For some reason the last 2-3 times when I go to a karting event, my shots have slowly gotten worse, so I this link will help me out. I basically know what I am doing wrong, just got to correct it.

Really good article that, better than some books I've read.

I think worth mentioning as well that the speed of the subject is important and influences the results at particular shutter speeds. Thankfully being able to view on a digi lets you muck about to get it right.

Great article, especially as I do alot of motocross photography these days.

He's right about background, I feel it is so important! I always try to get a bit of greenery in the background:

I am still learning about the camera, but to be honest, I have had alot of people love the pics and have sold quite a few! I just need a new camera and lens now... ;)
