What size are the files in real life? (as opposed to estimates)

I think GarethE said people he works with were using but can't remember.

There's a good review here...

Canon EOS-1Ds MkIII vs Nikon D3 (http://www.professionalphotographer.co.uk/tests/dslr-3086/group-2773/canon-eos-1ds-mkiii-vs-nikon-d3)

Yep, two of the lads have been using them for a while now.

I'll check with them tomorrow.

About 15mb for the RAWs, which is a 4256 x 2832 pixel file.

Cheers

Just done a quick test of the same scene at various quality settings. All 200 ISO, 12 bit, 4256x2832 pixies.

jpeg fine - 6.7mb
RAW Compressed - 10.9mb
RAW Lossless Compressed - 12.6mb
RAW Uncompressed - 19.2mb
TIFF - 36.3mb

I've no idea how the various RAW settings work, but thats straight from the camera card figures.

Hope that helps

Gareth
