Never had a problem when I had one fitted to my new age WRX, it was a turbosmart VTA (vent to atmosphere) type , it was nice sound but it was a bit pricey.
Your car is already fitted with a re-circ dump valve that works fine.
Some will advise you that you should keep a recirc DV, some will say go for the VTA so it's down to your preference.
If you want the noise then get a VTA, if you want some under bonnet bling without the noise then get a re-circ.

I have a bailey DV it makes a nice noise when you want it to and very quiet under 3000 rpm but it did cost around £120 new.

Another vote for the Bailey VTA Dump valve got one on mine subtle at low revs and loud when your giving it some.

Get that exhaust on but make sure you've got some spare bolts as they have a tendincy to snap or be seized solid and also don't forget to also fit a new back box gasket they are only about £7 from the dealer or on line.

Enjoy the scoob and welcome to Scoobynet:thumb:
