I need to erect a pole-mounted satellite dish, so I thought I'd fix a scaffolding pole a few feet into the ground and use that. I wouldn't have a clue where to buy one from though. Any ideas?

have a look in your local yellow pages , phone a scaffolder , tell him what you want , if he is a desent bloke he will drop you one off.

bought all mine from SGB

i thought they were a local company? but spotted some SGB logos when i was in holland a few weeks back, so i assume they have branches all over!

I've bought them from scaffold companies before - just turned up, told them what I wanted & paid a few quid - about a pound a foot I think when I last did it.

As mentioned, just pop into a small scaffold yard locally and ask them. They'll drop 1 off for you if you offer them a drink. ;)

Scaffolding Great Britain - 'local'? I suppose once they may have been a small family business! :lol1:
