Talk about bandwagon jumping :D

Had it at the back of my mind for a while and after chatting at work about it, came home and had a go.
Quite pleased with the result for just an hour of dicking around. Went for a more dramatic look but will have to do more reading to fully understand the tone mapping, at least the ball is rolling....

Nice first attempt! How many images did you use for that, or did you cheat and just use a single RAW?

Ripples can be a pain with multiple images....

I had a go with photomatix and using the hdr function after seeing loads of really well done shots, but my results were just plain awful.

I did however, get these two which I was pleased with (still not great though)
