Fast. I think they come out the factory modified though so no idea on standard stats

If they weren't as big as the QE2 I would have had one over an Impreza. Lovely motors.

My Uk R33 GTR (and all other UK ones) was just over 300 bhp as standard.

If I remember nissan went above the 280 BHP agreement and settled for about 300 ish.

As standard they are ok and are obviously a quick car that really does hide the weight very well. The straight six seems to pull and pull regardless of speed and revs.

However up the boost, change the air filter and put on a exhaust and you are starting on the road to a very fast car.

Mine ended up at 500 bhp (actual BHP not pub talk) with a full rebuild ect and then it was out of this world.

It depends on age/model R32, R33 or R34. As a rule I think they got more powerful the newer they where.

The GTS's weren't as quick to my understanding and didn't have quite the same fancy electronics. But as said a few mods and they can be quite insane.

Standard GTS's were sort of a poormans GTR, i.e single turbo rear wheel drive and only a 2.5 instead of the 2.6.
Powerwise the GTS was around the 250bhp mark and would do 0-60 in 6.2 seconds
I always found standard GTR's a bit over rated performancewise, they felt as quick as what nissan said!!

I agree. I have mates who worship these cars. While I respect them a lot I can't share the same enthusiasm for them.

Every road test I've read has never produced out of this world performance figures for standard ones.

GTS vs GTR are like 2 different cars. I could keep up with a GTS in my Old FTO. think they are a little lame as standard.

what FTO did u have there was a guy who had an FTO near me who couldnt pull away from me in my cruddy vectra SRI 140 2.0( may have been a 1.8 FTO)
GTS were a decent car for the money but ;look at the same year GTR and look at the difference in price
believe onece they got to the R-34 it changed tothe GTT and GTR models some of which looked identical trimwise but just had different engine and drivetrain

The R33 GTS and GTR are quite a bit different in appearence, for a start the GTR had wide arches, different rear wing, different front bumper, and different wheels. Suppose at least they both say skyline on the back!

The was still an R34 GTS but it was a bit pants!!

Even 400bhp skylines arent that quick!
Put a 400bhp skyline next to a 400bhp scooby or evo and it would get its **** kicked.
