I have never done one before and I have connected Live to the brown Neutral to the blue and earth to earth. but the light stays on all the time. there is 4 connections in the block and I have connected the live to that 'spare one' and the brown seperately and on both occasions the lamps on constantly?????????? Any ideas

Have a look in the instructions. They all do slightly different things when you first connect them. It'll probably be something to do with the amount of time you leave between switching it on and off.

The answer will be in the booklet..

If it's a PIR it'll also have adjustable "time on" and "daylight on" settings.

Make sure these are adjusted to low for the first and high for the second, to do any setting. Otherwise you'll be there all day.

My ones always come ON when power is cut, then restored. ;)

sorted it guys cheers. It had a munual override thing and I had to leave it off for so long then switch it back on...then play about with the settings!
