Default Has subaru garage damaged my car?

Hi Folks. I went to look in my filter box to see what make of filter I had. When I was looking I noticed the rubber pipe that connects the airbox to the engine was loose. I have circled it in red in this picture...

The rubber pipe was only just touching the plastic pipe connected to the airbox. This means that air from the engine bay unfiltered would have been getting into my engine!

Can any one tell me how much damage this may have done? The car was serviced by Subaru 6 months / 7500 miles ago so it could have been like this since then.

Cheers,

Doug

I don't think i will worry especially after what i just experienced! I took the car out just now to get some breakfast and took it for a wee blast on the dual carrageway. Man i forgot how mental that car was meant to be!!! When something is taken away from you slowly and then given back to you all at once it's amazing. I think the hot air from the engine bay had been causing me a decrease in performance and i'm to thick to have realised. I just thought i was getting used to the power and the novelty had worn off. I have even started the process of for getting it remapped lol. I'm still going to get it remapped... i've got the bug again (pardon the pun)
