If properly shielded theres no problem with induction kits, its when they are unshielded that they can suck in hot air from the engine bay thus reducing power. The standard air box is supposedly a good set up, so perhaps a simple panel filter is an option. However if you do fancy an induction kit for the roar, i have a Piper "Viper" induction kit you could have for £70, these are about £200 new as they have a carbon fibre shield around them and are the dry non oiled type so won't harm your MAF sensor. It is for the early classic. I can bring it to the next meet if your interested. :)

Give Adam a call at Scoobyclinic 01246 590807 and get them to make you up a bespoke K&N Cold Air Kit like mine. (view my scooby) Shielded from the heat of the engine, deep in the wing and it sounds awesome.

It was too big. When i fitted my front mount intercooler there wasn't enough room for the pipe work to pass it, so i had to opt for the smaller Apexi version. I think it only fits the 93-96 cars.

how much work was involved mate in fitting the viper and where did you run your cold air feed pipe

Fitting it is simple 10 minute job but i didn't have the cold air feed pipe with it. It was already fitted to the car when i bought it. But you don't need any special pipe to supply the feed. Are you coming to the next meet or the rolling road day? If so i can bring it along for you to take a look.
