new on here, was wondering if any body has put engine from 54 reg or similar into classic as i have the chance of a low mileage engine from sti,not doing it for more power, just my engine expired in cloud of blue smoke, any advice appreciated.

2004 STi engine will have a whole leap of different wires etc. I'm sure it wouldn't be simple at all !

You are better off getting an engine from the same year of car as it will be a simple drop in job anything else is a PITA

thanks guys, it was just that for my year of car i think it might be hard to get an engine thats low miles and not been abused, any recommended recon places?

use the newage bottom end and use your heads ????
