The Karcher range is always worth looking at, for ease of servicing, good range of accessories and pretty decent reliability. :thumb:

what a load of bollocks...

i bought this from argos... Buy Karcher K235DB + Pressure Washer. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Pressure washers. (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7402010/Trail/searchtext%3EKARCHER.htm)

gets most the muck off the car beofre i wash it with a sheepskin mitt and the two bucket method. little karcher is perfect for me as i can lug it round and its got a 6m hose too. came with a few extra goodies too, but i dunno if the offer for them is still on. £60 is a bargain for what it does. use it in the back yard and all sorts to clear grime/muck/dirt etc.

Those PW's are fine for the most of applications. I used to have one just like that and resisted paying over £100. It is just that so many of the ones above that price are better in features and accessories that it suits a lot of people.

You get the same build quality regardless.

I would love one of the karchers that have a wind up hose mechanism as I am fed up having to try and wrap an unyiedly bloody kinky high pressure hose around my PW everytime I put it away.

oh and the bit about the pressure being ****...that is rubbish. The pressure is mostly regulated by your water pressure coming out the tap.
I have to turn mine down as ours is so bloody strong that it blows the hose clean off

agree with tony i just got the new K7 with the "karchers that have a wind up hose mechanism" saves so much time and even other people can put it away  used to spend 30 min setting my old one up. the power of the new one is crazy as the sticker on my new quad can now demo :Whatever_

£275 but they just keep going 4 ever

Sorely tempted to swap out my old karcher for one of these newer K7 models.
I have had the old one K3 for about 3 years now and whilst it hasnt missed a beat, I just get fed up spening 10 mins each time unwinding and untaggling the pressure hose and then repeating the process again when finished.
Cost me £70 3 years ago, so I suppose it has done well for its time as it has been used for just about everything from washing the car, scrubbing the driveway and cleaning the windows :)
even did my garage door with it so it has had a hard life..

But on the other hand do i want to spend another £275 on the better model ?? :wonder:

I got a pressure washer from Aldi yesterday. From what I've read on the web it's a rebadged Karcher (Powercraft)
150 bar pressure and 450 litres per hour. It was £80 including a 3 year warranty. I also paid £25 and got the patio cleaner (Similar to the £40 Karcher one) and it did a spot on job of cleaning the patio last night!
Not tried it on the car yet but that'll come.....

I bought a Karcher KB6060 Pressure Washer, it works brilliantly, not only on the car, but patio, fences etc. It even came with a great attachment to clean the patio, its a bit like a hover mower that cleans the patio with no effort. The Karcher rotary brush works on the car with little effort also. Leaves me time to dry and polish!!!

Got this from Robert Dyas at best price on the net I could find £199.99
