Default Anyone extended, or had their garage extended?

Hi,
I want to extend my garage so i can fit a car in and still use it. My first thought is to extend the length and fit a door at the end so the car fits in the first part, and the end is used as a garage. Anyone had anything simialr done, thoughts experiences, PHOTOS etc, please.

Dont you just hate English garages, only enough room for a car, nothing else.

What sort of garage do you have (brick, slabs, etc)?
I've got a sectional garage which had an extra couple of sections fitted to the lengh and measures about 9ft x 18ft - room for a saloon and units at the back

Traditional brick.

Maybe build onto the back and fit a door linking the 2 from inside so 1 is a workshop and the other is for the car?

Carports look ugly imo, but thanks for the suggestion.

I think building on the back is the only option (or simplest). Instead of a door wouldn't it be better to have a large opening. You'd need a side door at the end though or else you'd have to squeeze the lawnmower past the car etc.
