My lean-to which covers half my kitchen is roofed with polycarbonate sheeting which appears to be double layered and has square shaped tubes running it's length.

With all this rain, the noise is starting to really drive me crazy. What sort of options of I got apart from turning the stereo up, earplugs etc....?

Plus, I must be losing a ton of heat out through it surely..?

:wonder:

You can do nothing apart from changing to glass sealed units.

Or under draw it in timber , insulate above, then plasterboard and skim.

If you decide to go with the glass double glazed units make sure the structure will take the extra weight ( doubtful ). Also make sure you use toughened glass !!!

there is alot of differant types of polycarbonate, you get one that has three layers to it not sure that would make any differance, there is also one with solaplex in it ,its like a thin foil with holes in it gives you increased insulation, keeps heat in through winter and stops you baking in the summer,
