Was at my parents this weekend. So washed the car. Dad told me to use this polish he bought. Supposedly has 80% grade A carnauba wax by volume. Would have thought the stuff would cost a fortune but it didn't. Have to say it was really good. Is this stuff rated by the pros on here?

Just read my post again and it sounds like an advert. Most definately not the intent. Serious question - as want to know if I should buy my own pot or stick to Zymol stuff.

Not used it myself but my autosmart rep really rates the stuff (well he would) he says most of his bodyshot customers use it and its cheap - but its also a pain to buff off I beleve - end of the day its worth a try for the price - I would use it as a winter protection seen as summer is coming up and carnauba has a poor melting pont so the likes of blackfire are needed :)

I have used Autosmart carnauba wax before and have 2 pots in my Garage at home, its fine to use as long as you apply in small areas with a warm cloth slightly damp cloth, then buff off quickly. Do not cover a whole panel as you will spend the next hour trying to bring the stuff off.

The wax lasts for a long amount of time and but is a trade off as it is cheap around £5.50 for a pot which goes a long way, but takes a while put on. I got mine from my friend who is a valleter and they get products from Autosmart. The other good feature is that it can offer protection against “bird lime”.

It definately is! Its a right pain to get off again, makes a right mess if your not quick enough with the removal  It is handy for the winter protection though Harly's Wax I find is easier to put on and remove.
