Hi , anyone advise me on the following ?? - trying to fill in a small hole in plaster board wall with pollyfilla, just wonder what the best way is to stop the p/filla from actually falling thru hole ??!! the hole itself is only around a inch in size. take it is best to put too much rather than too little p/filla on and then just sand down the excess once dry ??
any advice much appreciatted.
cheers guys
Get a bit of card a little bit bigger than the hole and a bit of string. Put a hole in the card, tie a knot in the string and pull the string through the hole in the card.
push the card through the hole and then pull the string so it comes back against the plasterboard and acts as a backing. Fill the hole, still pulling the string. Wait till the filler hardens and then cut off the string and poke it into the wall.
Fill the small hole where the string was.

might need a couple of thin layers though, but easy fill is by far the best solution. when you;re rubbing it down, use aluminium oxide paper (i find p120 or something similar works well on easy fill) as it will perform a hell of a lot better than a sheet of "sandpaper"

put some newspaper in the hole
put some newspaper in the hole
would damp paper first though
and watch as the paper falls inside the partition then do as said previously
