Hi

Megs is brilliant. When I used it I used my pressure washer on low. I did post the results on here a week ago headed Thanks to PB - take a look

i cleaned my engine bay with 2 bottles of degreaser from the pound shop!! worked a treat, my hose wasnt long enough either so used a watering can and wire brush then put the bonnet down and ran engine for a while to steam it clean, then i used wd40 to shine up the pipes and metal bits.

I covered up the water sensitive bits with tin foil from tescos before sprinkling water in there tho! :thumb:

I covered the alarm and alternater then sprayed everything with the degreaser more than once and used a brush on some parts.

Would reccommend the 303 finishes it off a treat.

I would strongly recommend against using water anywhere near a Subaru engine. I have learned a hard lesson and I wont make the same mistake again :nono: Apply a degreaser then work with a toothbrush etc then remove residue with a MF :thumb:

Any product can be wiped off but i would work on smaller sections if doing it this way. So spray product on, leave to dwell for a few seconds then agitate with a brush or similar then remove with MF. Not everyone will have a problem using water near there engine bay but I still got a problem 6 months down the line as mositure has entered somewhere

Very unlucky Dave, Subaru engines are usually fine when wet washed at low pressure, but I can understand your cautiousness. Good advice on the hand method offered above, nice one mate. :thumb:

the only thing that i wasnt to sure about on the hand method was the wiping off of the cleaner substance i wasnt sure if they was like strong wheel cleaners that
can damage the surace if left on to long
