please.

For one body with short zoom attached, room for flash and a couple of cf cards.

Style and quality a priority over price.

Thanks

Lowepro 200 AW I thnk the model is, I quite like them, but had to upgrade to a 300 as the 200 wasnt quite big enough once I got more lenses and accessories

My brother now has my 200 AW and it is perfect for him with his Canon 40D and large kit lens and cf cards, the only thing he doesnt have is a flashgun, but there is still room for one

I've just (today) bought the Slingshot 100, thinking it would be ok for my 400d and the 70-300 lens......

I can't seem to get it in there is a tight safe way, with the velcro adjustable compartments......

With the lens on the body, it doesn't seem to be big enough...

:s

Think I'll be back there tomorrow for the next size up...

Thanks for your help so far.
The Mini Trekker looks a bit large for my needs.
Had a look on ebay at the Slingshots, the 200aw looks ok, though also a little large.
Is the 100 much smaller, ie will it take a 1ds and 24-70?

There are hundreds of bags out there, most of them excellent but of course dependent on you needs.

Lowepro is the obvious choice for versatility (see website) but I also like Think Tank Professional photography equipment - camera bags, camera cases - from Think Tank Photo (http://www.thinktankphoto.com/ttp_product_DgtlHlstr.php) which are more specific bags and might just suit you depending on your kit.

I have one for my Canon 40D and 100-400mm lens and the fit if perfect. Of course, they do smaller ones.

Try before you buy. It can be a (very) frustrating business ;) as no store has everting in stock.

You'll need appx 5.5 inches (+) in internal bag depth for your 1ds.

I had a Micro trekker 200, and the 1D2n doesn't fit - had to go to the mini trekker AW for the depth increase, and that's tight on the height of the body - but that will be far to big overall for what you need.

The slingshot 100 will have the same problem - simply that the height of the 1ds body will be too much for it. The 200 is a fair bit better in depth than the 100, but I'd try one out first. Alternatvely, as above, have a look at the Digital Holster 40 or somethimng like the lowepro Toploader 65 AW

1ds is a big body. Many camera bags aren't designed for a pro body.

Many thanks everyone.

Ordered Digital Holster 40 from Jacobs, will take body with 24-70 hood reversed and with the extender will take a 70-200 which is even better as these are the only two lenses I own :)

I've decided to keep the bag as i've re jigged the layout and camera/lens

I can't get my 400d with the 300mm lens attched in there comfortably/ with the compartment spacers in place....

I've put the smaller lens on and the 300mm is in it's own compartment....
