im considering bhying a chip off ebay for 100 bucks :eek2: and just wonderd if the d.i.y kit would actually work. its claimed gains of up to 40 bhp on an early wrx and i just ent to sure. they say that there is no damage that can be caused by this aswell. true or false cheers people:luxhello:

When modding scoobs, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

Post up a link to the site, but it smells a little like cow to me. The only way to mod a scoob properly is to get someone to carry out a manual re-map of the ECU. 40bhp from a classic WRX with just a chip just doesnt happen, sorry mate.
