Just looking for a little advice. I have a DSLR but dont always carry it with me due to size and spare lenses etc. I really want a decent compact digital camera, something small enough to put it in my pocket and obviously decent images.
I do not have too much to spend, upto £150 atm. Any suggestions? I have looked at the Panasonic Lumic TZ-4.

Ive got a Ricoh Caplio R7 for when i can't be bothered to lug the SLR around. 8.2 mp, 28-200mm lens, 35mm equiv thats 7.1x optical, paid about £140 with 1 gig card pics seem OK so far, only thing its lacking is AV priority.

You won't go far wrong with any of the Lumix models, also Canon and Fiji can be recommended.

Definately would have to be a fuji finepix (f series)got an older F30 an i love it, takes a camcorder style battery that lasts for about 500 pics based on quality level/memory card on one charge, still a few manual options-shutter speed for night shots aswell as iso levels upto 3200 though realistically only usefull upto 1600-loads of useful stuff on it-takes really good night shots.

The Panasonic Lumix FX33 is a lovely compact. Best built compacts out there IMO.
Well I've just rid of a Canon IXUS 500 which in my view was fantastic - far better than I'd expected!
I've now got a G9 to supplement my EOS and it's pretty damn good.....shoots in RAW, lots of manual modes, macro is great (you can rest the end of the lens casing on the subject and it still focuses!)....
But I've heard good things about the Lumix compacts too!
Any help......probably not! :lol1:
I had exactly the same situation recently and after wading through hundreds of reviews came out with the Canon IXUS 75 which has been excellent.
