Just looking for a few opinions on this one.. my brakes look like they need replacing soon, having had the shock that its £220 + fitting for OEM Rear discs I have been looking at aftermarket stuff. Has anyone had experience with Black Diamond Cross Drilled and Grooved Discs?

It would look nice with Combi discs all round! but what pads would I use? as I recently had new OEM Pads are these ok to use with the Diamonds? if not any suggestions...

Obvisouly id like some huge 6pots but im needing 4 new tyres and the cam belt service next month! so money isnt exacly free flowing! hence im looking for best value set up.

Cheers, Leon

No problems with the Black Diamonds. I too would go for just grooved: the drilled ones tend to be weaker. I got mine from Scooby Mania. It's a pity they cost so much for the rears (don't mind spending money on the fronts, but the rears don't do a lot).

Edited to say that OEM pads should be fine with them, though I have Mintex 1155s and they're an improvement. If only they didn't leave black crap all over the wheels and down the sides of the car

I run Mintex pads with my Godspeed disks and the work really well. They do work better the hotter they get, but I haven't come across any problems with them at all.

Also, I don't get much **** off of them - this might be down to the disks I suppose.
