Let me start off with saying hope everyone had a fab bank holiday weekend.:thumb:

Now, my car was due a wash. Saturday I was out all day at a wedding and it was too hot to do it anyway.
Sunday, due to the wedding I was hung over and didn't have the energy to do so.:freak3:

So, bank holiday Monday. BBC weather said overcast with possible rain. I was up at 6:45am due to my son so thought sod it I'll get started. :norty: I don't have an outside tap at mine so went round my old girls.:norty:

Well during the stage of hosing the car down ready for the super suds the sun started coming out the clouds? So thinking maybe it's just a case of the sun popping out briefly I went inside to make a cuppa........It clouded again so carried on.
To which I get to the point of hosing again and started using the super suds. and guess what happend!!!! Yep,the bloody sun came out and was on full song!!

I carried on by washing and hosing section at a time then pat drying method. Idrove back to mine and put the car in the garage (it's not very big so had to do one half then the other half if you know what I mean by going in one end and then the other) to wax the car using the IVORY wax by Blackfire and wiped/buffed off with a super duluxe towel. Car looked good so packed up and took the family out.

So today I went out to the car to get something.....pulled it out of the garage........to find I have water marks (spots) over the car even after adding the wax:iamwithst . So I thought I use the Blackfire Deep Gloss Spray to try and tidy it up.

Now I have little spots along with lots of little scratches (hologram like?) all over the car.

Now. Maybe I was a burk for carrying on I don't know in the heat meaning the soap/suds would bake to the car. And now I have cocked it right up by adding the Deep Gloss spray..............

Whats the best plan of action. The sun is out all week so I can't really wash it again until maybe the weekend? Do I just take it on the chin and re-wash,dry and then polish it again to get rid of the spots and marks?

It may seem like a silly over reacting thread but it's annoying me to say the least. I blame the BBC myself:nono: as the weather reports under the post codes stated the overcast possible rain theory.

My car is Black with blue mica btw.

I reckon it's a good excuse for a full respray in the colour of your choosing mate :lol1:

As you've waxed it could you just give it a quick blast with a pressure washer on a low setting to let the baked in soap run off, or is it stuck fast?

BTW - I ordered the UK300 splitter - it's in the bodyshop being painted and having it fitted when I get back from hols. :thumb:

I also ordered a set of those grooved discs from the Godspeed GB as they seemed like an absolute bargain. Now I've just got to stop myself from buying one of those DR Motorsport spoilers lol.

See you at the meet after next if you're there.

Sounds to me like the fine scratches probably came from waxing after a short drive - even the slightest amount of fresh dust would have caused marring if wax was applied over the top. The water spots may or may not be much of a problem; sometimes they come off easily enough with another coat of wax after a wash (the solvents in the wax can help to remove them), but in cases where they have baked on hard then more serious polishing can be required. I hate to say it, but given what you are seeing in the paint, I would start over from scratch by washing, claying, polishing and then re-waxing. Also, I would avoid moving between locations during the work if at all possible as even a light amount of fresh dust can cause severe marring or worse. :(
