I'm thinking of getting a second car to use for the daily grind to & from work. That means the scoob can be kept for more pleasurable weekend driving/trackdays on a reduced mileage.
Has anyone any recommendations of companies that can offer this sort of cover (except for Rum, who I'll call tomorrow)?
Any good or bad experiences welcome.
Cheers,
Steve

I had the same problem when I bought my MY00 2 years ago.
I kept my old Fiat which I had full NCB but had to start from scratch on my scoob  .I finally insured with the NFU who priced the Scoob insurance as if it had full NCB and did so again last year.
Unfortunately the NFU dont give a discount for low annual mileage and they will only guarantee the actual NCB if I move to another insurer i.e 2 years when I renew this year.
They have me over a barrel but they are quite competitive so I'm not too bothered at the moment.
Cheers
Neil.

Update for those who are interested ;)
Spoke to John at Schofield's yesterday (Jerry* on here) and was pleased to find that I can leave the Scoob (UK saloon) with Direct Line and insure a second car with Zurich. They'll give an introductory discount coz of my current full no claims record! :D Result!
Thanks to John for doing all the legwork on this. :)
Cheers,
Steve
Caveat: Of course, this may only work for me coz I'm an old sod living at what the insurers consider a 'good' countryside postcode.
