tbh i wouldnt bother with coilovers unless you intend to track your car. if your just after a better stance with stiffer cornering then tein s tech springs are a good choice see my thread http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general-1/684192-spring-do-i-go.html click on BOB R's profile and look at his car, im going for teins myself with some KYB ULTRA SR shocks
ALK needs the geometry re-setting once fitted, so do it when fitting springs.

I had this dilemma springs or coilovers. I went for Prodrive springs, Perrin PSRS (anti-lift kit) and Perrin SLS (subframe lockdown kit). Sorry but I can't tell you what they are like yet as I'm saving to get the lot fitted in one go.
Why did I choose springs, well I thought it would be too harsh a ride as I use the car daily to get to work and the roads around here aren't the best. Also the expense, if I didn't get on with coliovers the initial cost and fitting would have been wasted. I might get coilovers in the future but I'll see how the springs etc go for now.

I had eibach springs and they were great but not low enough, so i got the h+r 50mm springs and the car sits nice with them but i feel it could handle better so im going for AST coilovers next month. H+R springs were around £200, coilovers are £1000+ so bit of a difference in the price but people tell me the ast coilovers are a great setup and transform the cars handling totally. Heres my car and my mates sti with the h+r springs fitted:

I have just fitted the Whiteline Flatout springs onto my classic wrx with standard shocks.
I have to admit that the ride ain't harsh at all and even the mrs loves it. Its also changed the look of the car a lot with 17s fitted.
