My car was stolen and one of the items in the car was my baby seat, now the insurance company told me that possessions in the car are only covered up to £100, the car seat cost £140. i was informed by my house insurance (they broke into my house for the keys and took my wallets as well) that the baby seat is covered under a seperate thing by the car insurance and should legally be replaced.

How true is this as i cant find anything in my policy documents????
