I've been working over the last 2 months or so to get Myself sorted with a half decent ICE set up and thought i'd finally get myself round to posting up my progress.

I haven't got much in the way of "In Work" pics, but i do have the results captured.

So, i started out with 7" LCD screen that my bro happened to have that he was ok giving me for cheap.
I decided that i wasn't after an all singing all dancing HU so i went for a Ripspeed one that was on Sale at the time at just £100.
It has all the basic functions including TV out, Camera in, Sub out etc etc and my favourite little bit is the 3" monitor.

So, after a load of faffing about getting the damn thing to fit i got the head unit up and working and wired it up to the monitor that i managed to load in between the two back seat for rear seat use.

Here is the HU-

Lights off. . . .

The next thing on my agenda was a nice boot install. I didn't want to have anything too extreme just somthing that didn't take up too much room but was an improvement on the original set up.
Here is an work pic-

and here is the finished thing-

Was my first attempt at anything like this but i'm well happy with the results and the sound quality is a great improvement.
One last little pic here shows the footwell lights i installed mid way through-

Like i said before, sorry for not getting any more in progress pics but though i'd show the fruits of my labour.
Cheers for looking, hope you all approve.

I have a pair of Clarion screens which I don't need if you are interested, will sell them pretty cheap.

On that install above, is it neccesary to have the sub vent in place?

Looks like you have mounted the sub on a board of wood/mdf & not made a sealed box unit?
I would have thought you would get a better sound/control in a sealed/ported box.

I don't think the vent is at all neccessary but i wanted it in to make up the space and make use of it.

If i had the skills and patience i would of built the facia in to a box like suggested, but to be honest, the sound quality i'm getting is pretty good and i don't think it is really needed. not for my needs anyway.

The fusion stuff is mighty powerfull and fulfills my needs anyway:thumb:
