Thumbs down Parts suppliers MOAN

I needed some Whiteline bits for my car, not a lot, just spending between £120-£150
I contacted 11 companies, some well known names, some names from SN and other forums and some Google results.
Out of the 11 only SIX could be bothered to respond with a price.
OK, not spending much but what happened to customer service..politeness..common good manners ?
I get the feeling that some companies seem to think that they are doing me a favour in taking my money, that they are so full of themselves that I should be honoured to buy from them !
I wonder what the response would have been if I was wanting to spend £ thousand (s) ?....I have a good idea.
Next year I want to replace the shocks/springs on my car, five companies will not be asked for a quote. It is my money and I will spend where I choose.
It would be rather refreshing if some MD/Counter clerk/keyboard operative could respond ?????

ring Dave Featherstone at Demon Tweeks, Scoobynetters get a healthy discount and always good service.
This particular group buy has been running for a few years now

Wink

It was really a complaint after the event as I ordered from Motorsportworld and the bits arrived in less than 24 hrs, and at a good price.
It is just the appalling level of service via e-mail that is the problem.

Cheers

Duncan, apologies I have had a long weekend off.

I have never needed a set for an 02 car. We can soon knock some up for you but don't have off the shelf. Cost £75.00 + VAT exchange with -6 adaptors silver solder fitted.

I find most Scooby specialists very helpful however there are couple I won't touch with a bargepole. Very poor service and no customer satisfaction at all with my dealings with them .

Let's be honest staff aren't cheap, but losing a customer is EXPENSIVE ! I have no problem getting "spanner work" done... but finding parts is proving to be a nightmare. I'll get there in the end but you won't be seeing me at ScoobyShootOut, LOL !

APIDavid could you at least put some hints as to what "interesting" stuff you do, NOT knocking the web-site BUT like Lateral you do seem to hide your full capabilities from the great un-washed.

Duncan

P.S. I'm un-educated, my parents are long since dead and I thank Labour for c******g on us all !

P.P.S. We will see how the JGM copes with my customer service expectations.... LOL

Have to agree with the OP here. I emailed a well known company with the hope of some work and they took about 6 days to reply. By then I had booked in with another excellent company but still they have now lost my future business as I tend to stick with what I know !

Same really but email is very important !

We do absolutely anything with any age Impreza, except bodywork. We supply or stock all the well known stuff from brake pads to ready to go 500 hp 2.5 motors.

Steel rods, steel cranks, forged pistons, all/any engine parts for any models, PPG gear sets, 6 speeders. suspension [Exe TC Tein, Eibach ] wheels, Scoobysport exhausts, H & S exhausts, Buddy club, etc etc.

We remap anything and are agents for Simtek, the very latest value-for- money ecu system

In fact call us for a quote, for anything you want to do.

'Cos customers drive me nuts and l figured if I didn't tell you what we have, you leave us alone to get on with our work.....

NOT

Seriously, we have a new site up and it will be published as soon as we can get it working properly. The original APi business has taken a back seat due to the Subaru side demand and a proper website is something we acknowledge has been lacking for some time.

Meantime, ring, pm or email. We'll be happy to help.

I know how you feel, i emailed companies about some of there products lately, with no reply, and i think to my self why bother??

yes they may well be busy etc, but i would like a reply after 3 days!

if it wasnt for how good some of these places were, i would of gone else where a long time ago, but the more it goes on, it makes me think, are there really as good as i think?

TBH !

If they are any good they will be busy...

I have found that it's a bit hit and miss, if they've got it fine.

If not, then few are bothered with the aggro of chasing stuff.

I e-mailed Scoobymania and got a call back at work, so explained I was "busy" and could they e-mail me details of price and availability....

I rang them back after a week or so, so we will get there in the end.

however on the other hand.. a lot of folk are time wasters and just get prices for things they can never afford nor will likely buy.

so of go the companies in question spending time and effort pricing things up when they get zero in return for their commitment of time etc
