went 4 lil drive as i were bored last nite and sum numpty in a blue seat ibiza cupra turbo on my arse! I were doing 50 in a 50zone. Think his was bit tuned up had the typical front mount cooler etc probably mapped. I know there about 230bhp with that set up but when he over took didnt seem that impressive in power. Question is how would my wrx compare if i was to see him out and about again? 4 ladds who dont know ive a 02plate wrx with green panel filter and 3inch turbo bk system with 1 silencer angled left non mapped. What would my car be pushin with these modds? Sorry 4 the essay lol. Many thanx

all depends how good you can handle a car mate as power it's not everything , its alot to do with how well your car handles and how well it brakes too :D

Very important point.

Good brakes means you can approach the corner quicker because you can brake later and combined with good handling you can carry more speed into the corner and hence carry more out. But equally important is setting the car up before you enter each bend by ensuring you are in the correct gear which in turn can maximise handling. This will then also help you to optimise your acceleration away from the bend.

sorry to state the obvious.

I had an 01 WRX Wagon, upgraded the Brakes to Brembo, deresonated, decat down pipe, STi Shocks and Eibach springs, Powerstation AWD Settings, ECUtek remap, fuel pump and Hybrid HKS Panel filter.

Handled better as you can take more speed into-through and out of corners, ran better (including better MPG),better spool up after the remap and certainly went like stink. No one likes being humbled by an estate!

265 BHP and 332Nm Torque, cost less than PPP but scared the pooh out of bigger/smaller "performance cars".
