Default HELP, removing scratches from Defi gauges

Hi guys, I've just picked up some second hand Defi gauges (cheeeeep) and two of them have slight scratches.

Whats the best way of getting rid of them and keeping the gauge screens as shiny as possible???

Cheers

MicroMesh abrasive cloth, available from 2400 to 12000 abrasive grade( highest grade wet and dry is 2400 so this stuff is extra extra fine. Do a Google search to find suppliers, you can get it from certain model shops. I have used this on plastic models and watch face glasses and it works. It was originally designed to take scratches out of aircraft canopies, so if you know anyone in the RAF give them a shout

Are they plastic fronts?

If so, then you can probably use some Mer scratch remover as that stuff can be used on plastics to remove damage.

Yep, they are plastic screens. I've been told to try toothpaste with a microfibre cloth so will have a go with that as it's a freebie option. If it doesn't work I'll have a look at the Micromesh and the Mer. Thanks for the replies
