...and some of the info behind the bikes...

Yamaha R1
Purchased new in 2004 via Harris Performance Products and it was agreed that it would be their mule to allow them to develop new products specifically for this model. The specification includes:

Ohlins forks and rear shock absorbers both of which have been fettled by Richard Brendish (who provides product Ohlins support for all the top British super bike teams), Dymag 5 spoke carbon fibre wheels, Brembo discs, Brembo calipers, Brembo variable bore master cylinder.

Following a minor engine problem that was caused by Cal Crutchlow who was testing the bike at Brands Hatch, the engine has been re-built to mild British Superbike standard by Ray Stringer who builds engines for amongst others, Hawk Kawasaki. The engine gives approximately 180hp at the rear wheel without the added effect of ram air. It also has a Power Commander and was re-mapped to perfection by Ray.

The bodywork comprises a standard Yamaha fairing and a specially built seat unit and number plate/indicator bracket. Originally the bike was painted in the GO!!!!!!! livery used by the Yamaha Moto GP team in 2003. At the end of last year, the bike was re-painted in the livery that Rossi used at Assen last year and incorporates every single logo used on that bike which took dedicated research. The paintwork was carried out by Pete Trayler of Padded Cell and took over 3 months. The fairing, tank and seat unit have all been covered with Venture paint protection to prevent any stone chip damage and the bike has not been ridden since.

The bike has been displayed by Harris Performance Products at Las Vegas, Germany, 3 times at the NEC, Alexander Palace and at EXCEL this year. It also has numerous accessories such as Harris rear sets, Harris fuel tank cap, Harris steering damper bracket and Harris crash bungs.

This bike has covered less that 3,000 miles, and has in fact done more miles in an aeroplane than it has on the ground!




Yamaha R6
The R6 was purchased new in 2006. Suspension modifications include Ohlins forks and rear damper together with Harris adjustable yokes. The wheels are Dymag 5 spoke carbon fibre and the front brakes comprise Brembo discs and callipers together with a PVM master cylinder with “flip up” lever. The clutch lever is also a “flip up” by Pazzo. The bodywork on this bike was specially commissioned by Harris Performance Products and is one they made from pre-preg carbon fibre and both the fairing and seat unit are ultra light. The bike comes complete with a commemorative book issued by Yamaha to celebrate the development of the R6 and is clear to see that in that book the test bikes had one headlight and this design has been exactly replicated.

The seat and fibreglass have been designed for ultra quick removal and utilise military spec twist and turn electrical connectors as used on Moto GP bikes. Whilst the engine has not been modified internally, it has benefitted from a power commander and has been carefully set up on the owners Dyno and also includes a quick shift. There are numerous other accessories including Valter Moto rear sets, Harris clip ons, Harris tank cap, Harris rear number plate bracket, Oberon rear indicators, flush front indicators, carbon fibre hugger and front mud guard and a BMC air filter. This motorcycle has done less than 2,000 miles.




Yamaha R7
The R7 is one of the initial batch of 500 from 1999, and was purchased by Essonne Motos just outside of Paris, one of a batch of 3 that never sold. The current owner purchased it last year and the bike has under 300 miles on the clock. When the bike was bought back to this country the only modifications were to enable the bike to obtain SVA approval. This required an internal modification to the headlight, but the owner has a brand new, still in the box, set of R7 headlights to return the bike to total originality. Similarly the speedo had to be altered from kph to mph and the owner was lucky enough to obtain a spare speedo from Ray Stringer from road bikes that he had transformed into race bikes. The bike has not moved since this point and so the original odometer reading is genuine. The one other modification was the addition of Venture paintwork protection to prevent any stone chipping. The bike also has a letter of provenance from Yamaha Motors UK.

Tell your colleague.................I hate him!!! 3 of the best bikes ever built! But he needs to ride them more. If I was lucky enough to own an R7 I would be out on it every day....................................that I wasnt drivin me scoob of course.lol

Gorgeous collection :thumb: , though the R7 was exotic money and still will be take it to the track now and the R6 would demolish it . time never stands still !!!!
